Such a splendid familial experience. I reached out to a handful of tours and Lucidia’s response had so much more joy and excitement compared with the others, and that really shined through from both her and her daughter during the tour. It was a very reasonable price and probably the best value, considering the full very yummy lunch she prepared for us, using all farm fresh hand-picked ingredients. She’s so passionate about coffee farming and has a lifetime of experience to share. The tour was supposed to be 3 hours but we ended up staying for probably 5-6 eating, having coffee, chatting and playing with Lucidia’s daughter. Thank you Lucidia and Ruth!

We had a fantastic experience! We were here in October (off-season), so we booked it a day in advance via WhatsApp. Lucidia is incredibly kind and incredibly hospitable! She takes you through the process of making coffee, from seed to cup, and even lets her help! We also had a delicious lunch with produce from their own garden and were allowed to take fresh bananas home. Of course, we enjoyed the coffee and the friendly atmosphere. And all for a great, competitive price! Highly recommended on the way from Uvita to Cartago.
This was an amazing experience and we highly recommend. You will learn all about the coffee process from from picking the beans to drinking the final product. Lucidia’s charming daughter Ruth and pup ‘Happy Happy’ will join you on the tour of this small organic coffee farm. Be sure to opt for the delicious lunch from Lucidia as well. All organic and delicious. Top notch!
The name, Friendly Land, is apt, and this experience gets to the heart of what makes rural Costa Rica wondrous. It's a place where rejuvenation and reconnection with life energy are right there, accessible to you, especially at a place like this. A hands-on organic coffee tour (maybe complete with a machete you will be taught to use) lets you experience the whole process. In the family's food garden, produce is freshly picked to be eaten as part of a delicious, local lunch, where you'll be treated as family.
